Pros: Gladed skiing, well-cut runs, rustic feel, excellent value

Cons: a few ancient lifts, short steeps,

Mont Sutton has the rustic feel of a small, family owned mountain. And then you start exploring. Many of the runs, and not only the advanced ones, are gladed from top to near-bottom and weave their way across and down the mountain. Most of the runs were cut by Hercule Belanger, the patriarche of the family who first owned Mont Sutton and who is still involved in all aspects of running the resort. His runs feel different than most at other resorts; there are few fall line runs, most taking twists and turns, canted and gnarled all the way to the bottom. Pros: Excellent value ski school, excellent glades

Cons: Snow chancy in early season; subject to meltdowns

Best drive-to value for glade skiing if you have beginners or intermediates who need more than one lesson.

Pros: awesome glades

Cons: ecological bathroom at top

i really like sutton because the glades are really nice! nice view and many chairs bring you to many cute trails. again, no centralization of chairlifts and so less traffic at any given chair. chairs are fast! many double chairs fly you over an awesome landscape. there is terrain of all type and all levels for moguls, groomed, not groomed and glades. you need to take several chairs to reach the black diamond area. black slopes are towards the west side of the mountain, and the green slopes are on the east side. there is a nice lodge with fireplace at the top. good chilli in bread bowl. however, big con: the bathroom at the top is ecological, which means that it doesn't flush....
