Massanutten Ski Resort Reviews

Massanutten is GREAT for kids and family

Pros: Well rounded mountain with plenty of apres ski options nearby

Cons: Too many options to decide sometimes.

Decent Little Mountain (hill)

Pros: Location, short lift lines, family friendly

Cons: Small vertical, few runs, low level of difficulty

Decent little mountain for a day trip.  I'm probably an intermediate level skier, and this was a super easy hill.  The black runs would be greens at some (or maybe most) resorts.  That said, it's in a convenient location to DC, and some skiing is better than no skiing at all.  Great place to take the kids on their first ski trip, and it wasn't too crowded for a Saturday, at least the day I showed up. The rental equipment was a little subpar, and probably overpriced, but I still had a great time, and there are some friendly people out there on the slopes.
