Pros: Quality, performance, great features
I've used this jacket for a year now, and I love it. It's a "soft shell" type jacket: A really sturdy stretch shell with just a very light fleece lining with a poly mesh inner lining. With a long-sleeve base and a mid-weight fleece shirt over that I've been cozy in the mid-teens. It has amazing features: lots of pockets, with nice touches like a lanyard for a phone or camera, wrist gaiters with thumb holes, a pocket with a small mesh bag on a leash for small valuables, a goggle pocket with a wipe on a leash, a zip-away balaclava in its own pocket 'cause you never know, etc. It doesn't have pit zips but I never use those anyway, preferring to use vents on my pants. The jacket keeps out the wet but breathes extremely well. It has a trim but not snug fit that doesn't flap in the wind with room for a light fleece vest for colder days, and it's quite stretchy. Also the fabric is quiet (I tried an Arc'teryx Matador jacket and it was amazingly noisy when I moved!) The detachable hood has a velcro button to hold it closed so it doesn't fill up with snow when you're not using it -- a good example of the unusual but thoughtful touches this jacket abounds in. I looked long and hard for the "ideal" jacket before finding this -- on sale!
