Pros: Off the beaten path, not crowded
Cons: limited terrain being a small resort
June mountain is a small resort just down the road from Mammoth, and is actually owned by the same company. It is great for learning or taking lessons as it is seldom crowded; my wife and myself both signed up for different level group lessons one day and they both ended up being private lessons as we were the only ones in the classes. Is also fun to ski on a powder. For southern California skiers it is a nice relief after the crowds at Mammoth and has a little of everything regarding terrain.
