The functionality of merino wool for athletic clothing cannot be over stated. I am a total convert. I use Swobo merino wool jerseys for cycling in all temperatures and Icebreaker or other merinos products for any time I am not on my bike. The temperature range of this material is amazing. I live in Canada where the temperature range on a spring or fall day can go from zero (32 f) to +25 C (77 f) in the course of a 3 hour ride or run. I can wear the same shirt comfortably through the whole run and come home comfortable and not stinking. There simply is no polypropylene product that can do that. The merino product allows you to do it day after day and it still hold no odor. And it is NOT ichy against the skin like other wool is.
