Pros: Close to St Louis

I lived in St Louis for 2 years, so I went to Hidden Valley a couple of times. It is about 40 minutes outside of St Louis. Hidden Valley is very comparable with what you find in SW Michigan.  A dozen of so runs, 1 or 2 steep runs, and all of the runs fairly short.  That said I did enjoy going there.  It was the only ski resort close by to St Louis.  Period.  It is also 100 percent man made snow, since that area is lucky to get 10 inches of snow a year.  The season is also very short, January and February, with maybe a bit in Dec and March.

Overall, I was glad it was there.  I got to go skiing more often than I otherwise would have.  If you live in the St Louis area, then you need to check it out.
