Pros: Good close fit for my feet
Cons: Watch yer toenails
He put in some work on the shells; widened the cuff fitting some canting shims under the footbeds and shimming the bindings to sort the correct delta angle, before fitting some Zipfits and away I went. I put some Booster straps on them at home and have now had the chance to try the out.
The fit is terrific, I can really feel the edges through the soles of my feet. In theory they have a softer flex than the old X-waves, but on the snow I rarely noticed.
One tip, don't try to ski the first run of the season with the buckles unclipped in close fitting shells. Your toenails don't like it!
