Pros: Leather, Gore-Tex, Waterproof, WARM
Cons: Run small
Ever since My last favorite pair of gloves bit the dust, I have been on the hunt for the holy grail, that would not kill the wallet. Riding the lift last year with a first chair regular that has ties with Dakine the Cobra was suggested to me. I decided to pick up a pair at the beginning of this season.
I can't comment on how water proof these are out of the box. I bake and snow seal gloves 3 times before I take them out. But in wet conditions these have excelled.
The Cobra is a VERY warm glove. We have had some spring conditions, and I had to take them off each lift ride because they were sooo warm.
Breathability is top notch. With many of my other leather gloves the palm became saturated no matter the conditions. These have excelled in that field, and I have not experienced wet palms.
The low profile cuff with a zipper compliments jackets with built in wrist gaiters.
I will definitely buy these again if this pair ever fails.
As noted, they do run a little small so size up.
