Crotched Mountain
Description:

With over 100 acres of trails for skiers and snowboarders Crotched Mountain is a relatively new modern ski and ride area, opened in 2003, and their primary focus is snowmaking. When you are ready to take a break from the slopes go and relax and have a bite to eat at the Cafeteria, where you will find a pizzeria, bar and wide array of foods including: soups, salads, French fries, and Rick's homemade chili. The new Hi Speed Quad is moving people to the Summit in 3 minutes and 22 seconds! Only complaint has been how much milage everyone is getting in and becoming tired sooner. The Onset Pub is cozier and the food is "made to order". The difference in the price is negligible when you consider they go and get it for you. On tap is an assortment of everyone's favorites. If you are a parent wanting to enjoy the freedom of the slopes, and have children between the ages of 3 and 10, drop them off at Radical Kids Program, where they can learn to ski and ride and have a fantastic day on the slopes, with great instructors, games and lunch. A multi day option for our children's program includes 5 half day sessions with 2 additional half days free that you can use at your convenience and your child's needs for learning. This multi pack allows you to choose whether you want your child to ski all day with us or half days. Morning or afternoon it's your choice!

Crotched is AMAZING.  Plain and simple.Yes its a small mountain but it has everything to offer.  First of midnight madness, skiing til 3AM on Fridays and Saturdays.  They make an event out of it, bands, bar, and bondfire.  Second an amazing park for the size of the mountain.  They have all the rails you need as well as small to large jumps.  And lastly its easy to access.  Oh and did I mention one of the best ski and board schools in the region.  You can't beat the value, even if its a little smaller than most mountains in the area.
