These socks require a bit of work on the purchaser's part: measuring the calf at the boot line before ordering. When they first arrive the socks have an ugly, plasticky hand-feel. Plasticky in a grippy sense, so that you wonder if they're ever going to slide into a boot without snagging. Then they feel way too thick to be a proper ski sock. All of that goes away when you put them on. There is a left and a right, and smoothing the proper areas into place where they belong is not as trivial as on some other socks (e.g. Eurosocks or Wigwam Whispers (previously known as Ultimax Ultralites)).
