“This was a full racing slalom ski that held an edge on anything. It was much heavier and stiffer than recreational skis of the time, but beautifully balanced. It needed to be skied fast and aggressively to make it carve, but in the proper hands and with proper technique, it was quick and nimble in the gates or on the bumps. You did not, however, want to take this ski in powder much deeper than...” --goblue
This is a very good ski for softer snow as well as its very popular cousin, the 9.22s. This stiffer ski offers all the great features of the 9.22s (easily skied, good float) but adds a fair amount of stability due to better damping and more stiffness. “Older technology, but great value for anyone looking for competent speed on frontsides and easy gates. A fine Nastar choice!” --Trapps

Yet the carbon rods keep it stiff enough to stay very stable at speed, and it's a very capable carver. The mountain point is also back from center, so it has a slightly more all-mountain focus than some pure park skis, but it's...” --mordy07
“First time I tried these in a 162cm, I Instantly was able to lay down perfect RR track carved turns. No upper speed limit. It's such a joy to let other people, both men and women, try this ski and watch their eyes get really big and say "Oh my Gawd, now I know what carving really means"!! Atomic sure goofed when they dropped this model. We have about 15 instructors that have bought this ski...” --bobboing
“ I bought those for cheap at the beginning of the season as my backup pair for ski patrol duty. My other pair are Salomon Equipe 24 hours which I like very much because they are heavy, stiff, and very stable at high speeds. First of all the Atomic Izor are really fast, super lightweight and agile skis. If you like dynamic short radius turns on steep slopes, you`re gonna have a blast...” --amigo
