“ Chestnut counts as home, I've skied here for a long time.  The area is one of the most scenic that I've enjoyed, with the Mississippi at the base.   The conditions are good due to extensive snowmaking and an ample water supply (did I mention the Mississippi at the base!)  The terrain has plenty to offer for a Midwest resort, the down side is that the runs are short.  ...” --don_weber

Ski Snowstar Winter Sports Park

“This is a nice place. As with most Midwest ski areas you are skiing down from the lodge into a valley. This is a 5 lift tower resort so the runs are not long but the lifts although notr high speed are last enough. You can have a nice day or 1/2 here. There is a fun little area through a gully and more than 4-5 ways down. Over all this place is worth the effort if you are in the area. ” --3107
