Thoroughly enjoyable race ski
Pros: Light and fluffy, very stable, surprisingly manoueverable
Cons: I can't tink of any
Pros: Light and fluffy, very stable, surprisingly manoueverable
Cons: I can't tink of any

Pros: Good on ice, and bumps, superb carver, not bad in powder and crud either
Cons: The Marker iPT binding that comes with it must be cranked very close to max (12)

Pros: Smooth, refined technical system at a very good price point
Cons: Bland ski, Antiquated binding system.

Pros: Likes to be doing something, particularly turning.
Cons: High speed stability is it's limits. Not for the more powerful of skiers.
“ This is a pretty kick-ass ski. It's kind of like a really wide GS ski (96mm underfoot.) It's at its most natural going really fast on firmer off-piste snow. It will do short-radius turns, but it has to be muscled a bit and it's not necessarily pretty. Moguls are a lot of work. On groomed slopes, it holds a carve almost as well as my GS skis, but it's definitely slower edge-to-edge. In...” --AndrewSwitch
“ Lovely ski I am a 43 yo 175 cm, 80 kg, fit and reasonable aggressive lifelong skier, level 9, recreational racer and part time ski patroller. Demoed 178 and 186 2010 Gotama's. Purchased the 186's. Mounted Volkl boot centre. Went for the 186's as I found they turned as sharply as the shorter length but were more stable at speed. Perhaps if had mounted a bit forward would have had more tail for...” --GuyB
“ I have had this ski since last season and have loved every aspect of it. I first rode it in Aspen then in Jackson Hole last season and it was epic! Ripped through powder, stomped everything with ease, and i was still able to have fun on the groomers. Get this ski! ” --Huck26
“I've skied on about 50 skis in the last several years, and these are the best all-around, IMO. Damp, medium flex, good edge grip. Stiffer than I like in light powder, but excellent in crud and all other conditions. I can ski faster with these.” --crudmaster
“Just purchased and skied 4 days on 179 prophet 90 's. Day 1 hardpack at Alta Utah. Day 2 ,4 " freshat Brighton. Day 3, 3 " fresh at Powder Mountain, Day 4, 25 " dump at Snowbird. Skis were extremely stable at speed and carved amazingly well for a 90 waist. They handled the powder well at Snowbirdas well as the cut-up as the day progressed. At 60 yrs of age, the 179 length required constant...” --tsbent
“ The Tester (Me): 6 feet tall, 220lbs, expert skier, agressive carver on the frontside and frequent venturer off-piste I just spent the last season on this ski and it's my favorite hard snow ski I've ever been on. Amazing edge hold even when the mountain resembles Superman's Fortress of Solitude. I wanted something to be my daily driver out east. I have a pair of Line Prophet...” --Vern
“Just picked these up not even a week ago. I wanted to get a more advance ski that i could use in All-mountain fun over my Volkl Unlimited ski's. Great fun in the powder and in the trees, I havent put them againts Crud or Ice so far. (due to having a great Pow day when in the mountains.) They love to ski both forward or switch. Nice shock asorbing on hard landings, which is a plus. I bought mine...” --
“by Oren Last week we were down at Bachelor during my son's mid-winter break. I'd been thinking about a new pair of skis, and I had been in contact with Dawg/Scott and he had recommended several that he thought I should try. Me: 5' 7", ~150 lbs, 55 year old male, level 6 skier looking to get better, ski around 15-20 days a year in the Northwest. For the last five years or so I've been skiing on...” --nolo
“The Praxis Powder Boards are my favorite skis. I own the 185cm rides. I ripped through 3 or 4 pair of Spatula's when they first came out, then I got a pair of the Praxis Powder Boards. These things kill it. They are by far the toughest skis I have in my Quiver. They make your day so much more fun. You can stomp huge fast airs and slow down for the silly traverse that is always below the biggest...” --freeridetahoe
“ I grew up racing everything from slalom to downhill and a bunch of mogul competitions thrown in the middle. I had different skis for every race. The AC 50s really can handle almost anything and I have been totally shocked by their versatility. I'm 6'5" and 205 lbs and almost always push deep into my turns. The Kendo totally crumbled under my weight at high speeds...” --gooner44
