2014 Volkl RTM 81 Ski

I have the 2016 Model

DSW1

Pros: Easy to adjust bindings, Lightweight, Classic good looks

Cons: None thus far

I have the 2016 model of this ski. Got it for a great price in the fall. Have skied 2 days on them so far. Not disappointed. It is a lighter than my previous skis (Salomon X-Wing Tornado Ti's) and slightly shorter which is perfect. I am a tall person and went from a 180 in the Salomon's to a 177 on these Volkls. The Marker Wide Track bindings were incredibly easy to adjust (they dail in your...

1981 Atomic ARC Team Bionic SL

1981 Atomic ARC Team Bionic SL

“This was a full racing slalom ski that held an edge on anything. It was much heavier and stiffer than recreational skis of the time, but beautifully balanced.  It needed to be skied fast and aggressively to make it carve, but in the proper hands and with proper technique, it was quick and nimble in the gates or on the bumps. You did not, however, want to take this ski in powder much deeper than...” --goblue

2001 Atomic Beta Ride 9.22

2001 Atomic Beta Ride 9.22

This is a very good ski for softer snow as well as its very popular cousin, the 9.22s. This stiffer ski offers all the great features of the 9.22s (easily skied, good float) but adds a fair amount of stability due to better damping and more stiffness. Somehow this stability comes very cheap - the 9.22 is just as easily skied as the softer 9.22s making it a better buy for those skiing at higher...

2004 Rossignol Bandit X

“I've had the Rossi Bandit X skis for almost five years now and they have served me very well.  I've skied with the Bandits on some of the East Coast's iciest, most brutal conditions; and I've skied with them on a bluebird powder day at Alta.  They perform best on groomers (and were great for ice because the Bandits have great edges and will keep you moving down the mountain without losing...” --adamfarren

2005 Atomic Tweak

2005 Atomic Tweak

“The Tweak is an all-mountain twin that's a lot of fun both in and out of the park.  It's an extremely light ski, so it's very maneuverable and great in bumps as well.  Yet the carbon rods keep it stiff enough to stay very stable at speed, and it's a very capable carver.  The mountain point is also back from center, so it has a slightly more all-mountain focus than some pure park skis, but it's...” --mordy07

2005 Stockli Stormrider XL

2005 Stockli Stormrider XL

“ I use ths ski for powder and free riding.  It is a GS ski fattened up with the objective of going fast through powder. It needs space and power to intitate turns so is not designed for bumps, tight tree skiing or really crowded conditions. It can also take on heavy or even wet snow conditions without breaking a real sweat. As I said, it can take some powering down to initiate a turn but it...” --Matonieve

2005 Volkl 320 Energy Ski

“ I got this ski a long time ago... before that I was on an Atomic something... This ski has been with me for many years as my ski level improved... but the past two years i feel like i can ski better if i had better skis. I am short and light weight... and was barely 5'  and 100lbs when i got these. I preferred longer, and hoped i would grow into them. These are 163cm.   I...” --Rei Miraa
