Cons: Weekends

Ride any chair at Bridger Bowl and look up at the rock faces of The Ridge: to me, this is the most beautiful cathedral in the world. I never get bored at Bridger--there are lots of north faces where the snow stays fresh for days, great tree-skiing, wonderful chutes, and terrific hike-to terrain. This is an expert skier's mecca, and also a fun family-friendly area with lots of skiing for the more sedate riders on Pierre's Knob and Alpine, which is like a private ski area within the ski area. The ambience at Bridger is another feature I love--laid-back, authentic, and a great value (midweek season pass for only $375, early purchase). This is a very special place. I call it home.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with Nolo....I used to work at Bridger, moved back east, still in the ski industry (Stratton, aka Flatton). My hard-earned vacation dollars are spent returning to my beloved Bridger Bowl and Bozeman. I remember one time at Bridger, after I'd moved back east, riding up the chair with a former co-worker and friend. It happened to be a Sunday. I turned to him and said, "this is my church. It doesn't get much closer to God than this, in my opinion." Nolo is so right, it's a hard-core skier's mecca. I was back this past March and had a very difficult time boarding the plane to fly back east. As Arnold said, "i'll be baaack"....to live someday. It is a true skiers' mountain, no fluff or glamour, no crowds, fabulous skiing and powder ...doesn't get much better than that!! Praise the Lord for Bridger Bowl!!
