Pros: Exact fit. No pressure points. No voids
Brent Amsbury fitted me for these at the Providence NEWSR Sports Show in Providence yesterday. I had made an appointment to meet with the reps from Austria-based BootDoc. I was excited to see what they had but was apprehensive based on past experience with foam liners which were too hard and neither pliable nor warm. There was a high failure rate with the old foam process used by other manufacturers.
This new process is far more malleable and warm. My initial reaction to the BootDoc BD Freeski Liner is very positive. I tried it in my Lange RS 130 Wide race boots because I wanted to see if I could get a more exacting fit than the current liners. They fit comfortably. They have a firm feel and the boot's flexibility is uninhibited. The whole process was streamlined and simple and took less than a half hour. I'll get a chance to ski them on Friday!
