Pros: good powder snow, $40 lift tickets

Cons: BYOB, smaller sized mountain

Unless you know someone in Logan, skiers from other areas are not going to go to Beaver Mountain (the Beav, as it's called).    The Beav is about 25 miles NE from Logan, near the Idaho border (actually not near anywhere, it makes Snowbasin look like an urban area).  What the Beav has to offer is good skiing, particularly if it's a powder day.   They groom very little when it snows.   It's a family owned resort and the lifts can be a little crowded on Saturdays and holidays.     For the experts, you really have to hit the back-country to find the steeps.  Otherwise, there is good tree skiing and some fun terrain.  The...

Pros: Good vibe, good snow quality, Good terrain if you know where to go.

Cons: Compared to other UT areas, small, not much terrain, sort of flat.

Its mostly a locals hill. The place has a great vibe and is typically empty slopes and lifts covered with about 400" of snow a year. A family run ski area the Beav is very family friendly the beav has some great long beginner runs and is one of the better areas for novices to learn to ski The Harry's dream lift-- covers about 1600' vertical from the main lodge area to the peak of beaver mountain. Many of which have a nice consistent pitch while others wind down the mountain on a variety of ridges and draws.  The beaver face offers a consistent ~30 degree slope down a bit more than 1000' vertical.   When its dumping many stashes remain inbounds while  the local...
