Best of the Best
Pros: Everything
Cons: XL is BIG on my 6'2", 195 lb. frame, but still looks great!
Mom got this for a song during the off season while traveling the Rockies. She knows value and quality. Only down side is that it is an XL, and the Sidewinders are cut for what Arc calls their "Snowpsports" cut, not their "Athletic" cut. She knows I take an XL in athletic fits. XL in the AR would best fit 6'3"+ and 220+ lb. studs.
Everything is the bomb with these; offset zip collar, zip-in hood, pow skirt (makes up for the extra room at the waist for me) and just the plain steez of quality. The Gore-Tex Pro would prolly stop a branch-end in the woods if you know what I mean. Still looks like Santa just dropped it off.
I, for one, don't pay nearly as dearly for my shells as Arc'Teryx charges, but a gift from Mom is always accepted when it comes to this kind of finish....FLAWLESS!!!
For half the cash, I have a new Columbia Deep Ghyll Shell that is not as detailed or as well finished, is a real contender, and at SAC prices, is a steal by comparison.
