Pros: Float well ,Steel edges turn and grip well
Cons: Needs a bit of help climbing
Ive bought a set of these after renting them several times at Windblown Cross Country center in New Hampshire. I wanted a pair of my own skis that would be good off track but still have the ability to fit in tracks and could handle icy conditions and not wash out. My pair were the yellow version, but I found a Green version for 4139.00 on Sierra trading and steep and cheap. I had alot of fun with these at the center which has a 2000' vertical and all types of conditions from powder and off track paths to set tracks. These fit in the tracks and were more than fast enough following set tracks but were good bush wacking in powder across a frozen pond. Grip was ok not not as good as some but I still manged to "jog" up some fairly steep inclines without herringbone. So far so good. Will give an update on off track and wooded area skiing this winter.
