I've skied Chewelah Peak/49 Degrees North many times, and on my most recent visit had a very enjoyable time skiing a terrific variety of runs including an area with some of the best gladed tree skiing I've ever enjoyed. The age range of skiers was from toddlers to senior citizens, many wore jeans and sweatshirts, Carharrts, and ballcaps, there was an outdoor barbecue and an indoor grill with a full breakfast and lunch menu, ample seating, a bierstube, and a first-rate ski school. I give 49 Degrees two thumbs up for families visiting the Spokane area.
