Pros: Fit is perfect.
High speed arcing at Northstar
I have been testing Helly Hansen gear for a number of years and it never fails to impress. The Odin name is one that has been in Helly's offerings for many season now and the Ascent is a jacket that performs up to it's reputation.
Play in the trees at Arapahoe Basin
The Odin performed well from Tahoe to Colorado last season, I skied it with light mid layers in Tahoe when the temps were in the 40*-50* range and the jacket breathed as well as any lightweight shell then into more mid winteresque late spring conditions in Summit County and the Odin Ascent was able to keep out the colder elements with the same ease, their Helly-Tech Protection works as advertised. I usually do not see this type of versatility until you spend 2-2.5 times the pice of the Odin. The stylish Oxford weave also adds to the versatility, the Odin Ascent looks just as good as a casual jacket for going out for Apre Ski as it does on slopes and back country as it does without screaming I just skied 50,000 vertical feet today.
