Pros: Strong ski when on edge
Cons: Must always be on edge
Review:
The VWerks could very well be the best looking ski in the premium carver category of skis. When Volkl introduced the RTM series last year, they discontinued the AC's The VWerks is an extension of the RTM's and specifically the RTM84 with the addition of adding lightness with high tech materials. The VWerks is a better RTM at medium to high speeds but the ski needs to be doing something all the time, it needs to be on edge. The camberless design along with the early rise tip and tail makes the VWerks feel loose and greasy at slower to medium speeds. The VWerks is a fine ski but at this price point, people expect more than fine.
