Pros: Speed, suspension, and handling
The 2013 Stockli FIS GS is the most special race ski that I've ever skied on...
...and I do own a pair of 180s with red Tyrolia FFPs and RDX pates in my current quiver.
Truth be told, I have never clocked the skis against the likes from other brands. I own three pairs of GS skis and demoed a few other ones from other makers. There are other good GS skis that I'm familiar with and trust. I train with and run gates, etc...I probably have way more mileage on those other skis than the Stockli GS's. Having said that, every time I'm on these skis, I feel like a million bucks.
The snow feedback I get is amazing in the way they dance around and strike the balance between lively and damp. They feel light and nimble, yet solid and stable when it needs to be. The flex is not too stiff or soft. It feels just right. They love to go fast and got uncanny edge hold through turns. That's just the way they came. They come tuned the way all race skis should. They look classy and also stylish in their unique, austere way.
If you have the means, I highly recommend picking some up.
