2013 Elan Amphibio Waveflex 88 XTi Fusion

Posted

Pros: Carves like a scalpel, stable in the crud and mush/corn

Cons: Not a widely popular and available ski near my hood.

I had a chance to make a few runs on the Waveflex 88 XTi in the slush at Crystal Mountain yesterday. Daaaaaaaaaaaammmmmnnnnn!!!!! Granted this is the first new "adult" carving ski that I have tried, but I felt invincible on these skis. I never went so fast on skis because I never had the stability and confidence to do so. Especially on spring mush. Side to side, edge to edge, my knees could not keep up with the skis. I can't wait to try them again in winter snow next season.

Description:

With Elan's success with the Amphibio line in 2012, they've added an 88 waisted ski to the line up, offered flat or with the XTi binding. The Amphibio line has traditional camber on the inside edges to give you great edge grip and rockered tip and tail on the outsides edges to give you the easiest entry into the turn.
