2013 Dynastar Speed Course Ti
Pros: Versatile, Stable, & Forgiving
Cons: Size matters. Shorter sizes = shorter turns. Longer sizes = longer turns.
The Dynastar Speed Course Ti is a great tool for advanced and expert skiers looking for a high performance hard snow ski with just enough versatility to handle variable snow conditions. Those considering this ski should select the size carefully. When testing this ski the 170cm length preferred a turn size (15m) shorter than I desired while the 177cm delivered the longer turn size I was looking for. The taper of the ski and the shape of the tail in particular increase this skis versatility greatly and allow those will the skills required to finely adjust turn shape as needed. Its longitudinal flex is slightly softer than most of the skis of this type making it surprisingly good in bumps and yet its torsional rigidity is high and holds well on the hardest snow. It looks like a race ski and it holds on hard snow like a race ski but it’s a far more versatile tool and is capable of taking advanced and expert skiers wherever they want to go.
