The Blizzard Black Pearl is one of our favorite women's all mountain skis, and another winner in the Blizzard Flipcore line that we really love.
Like the Blizzard Kabookie, this ski forgoes a metal laminate to reduce weight and make for a livelier, less stiff ride, without going too soft like some women's skis out there. This is certainly not a "shrink it and pink it" treatment for a woman's ski.
It's a great candidate for a "quiver of one" or "daily driver" type women's ski - quick edge to edge at 88 mm underfoot, easy turn initiation and transition thanks to the subtle tip and tail rocker, and better float in the soft stuff than the width would suggest, thanks again to the rocker.
