The Rossignol Avenger 82 TI burst on the scene last year and was clearly the top choice of Pros. It continues to attract legions of followers this year with its classic look and style. More importantly, it performs.
SuburbanSkiAndBike.com staff member Scott McClain, PSIA Level II Instructor owns a pair and sums it up as follows. "I skied all last year on the 2010/2011 version. Why Rossignol moved this ski to a carver category I don't know. I suppose its because they created the Experience ski but this Avenger is AWESOME!!! The ski will go anywhere and do anything. It holds great on firm snow and cuts through ice. The ski also plows through the crud with its large shovel."
Rolf Meyer, high school race coach, PSIA Level III Instructor, and staff trainer at Okemo Mountain in Southern Vermont, describes it as "super stable with great edge hold in a variety of turn shapes".
