Pros: Balance, flexibility, long turns

Cons: Forgiveness

Ski: Head Super Shape Magnum
Dimensions: 121/71/107
Tested Length: 177
Turn Radius: 13 meters
Price w/binding: $1,100

The Good: Balance, flexibility, long turns
The Bad: Forgiveness

Verdict: A balanced, powerful ski that likes hard snow and a rapid pace, the Super Shape Magnum does favor a medium turn radius for technically-oriented skiers who really like to drive their skis. Try to throw too many variables at it, like a rapid shift in snow conditions, and that performance level drops.

As a heavier skier(220lbs, 6'1") with an aggressive and technical style (PSIA 3). I found this ski to be overly soft, i quickly found a speed limit. A fellow Level 3 bought them, and loves them. I have a full foot and 40lbs on him though.
I'm a much heavier skier (6'1" @ 250lbs) and I bought a set of these after demoing a few in the class. I found them effortless and willing. I bought them after a 20 year absence from skiing. My technique is old and rusty and I found the Magnum in 180 length made it easy to ski well and I never felt the need to fight with them like the others I tried. I have total confidence in them on ice and groomed runs but in bumps and crud they are hard to wrangle.
These are a joy doing beautiful GS turns down a freshly groomed and maybe a little crusty run first thing. By afternoon when it gets soft and bumpy and cruddy you'll want to reach for something else.
Off-pite, nah.
