I was encouraged to take a look at FlyLow gear by a friend who thought I'd like the style and durability. FlyLow ski clothing was originally designed with back country and telemark skiing in mind, so durability and functionality has always been its goal, which has been obvious to those who put their products to the test, with durable fabric, substantial zippers, well placed venting.
After trying the Masala Shell, I found myself looking for pants to compliment it, which would also be a good fit for ski instructing. The High waist of the Bella Donna pant makes it comfy with full coverage when bending down to help a student, while the reinforced knees and cuffs assure that these pants will stand the test of time.
The inner and outer thigh vents are convenient to access with substantial zipper pulls that make them easy to use with gloves, while the cuff's and gaiters are generous to make access to the buckles and walk feature on your boots whether you're tightening your boot for performance or accessing your walk feature for a hike.
At first glance, I was disappointed with the button waist closure because (generally)I like clips or hooks at the waist, but the button appears to be attached in the same durable manner as the other features on these pants, which made it easy become accustomed to.
All in all, I think I'll be enjoying the Bella Donna pant for a long time.

* I was approached in the locker room by a female ski patroller who noticed the durable knees and cuffs on these pants, and is planning on ordering a pair for her work pants.
