The Magnum 8.1 returns for 2012 with a slight evolution in design in that Blizzard added a bit of "early rise" to the top. This subtle change really makes a one of the better wide carvers even better. Where you might think that lightening the tip up by removing it off the snow could make a ski feel "loose", not the case with the 8.1. The early rise actually allows the Blizzard 8.1 to ski easier at slower speeds and as soon as you get the ski on to edge, the tip will initiate just as you would expect. Good job Blizzard.
