2012 Blizzard Magnum 7.6 IQ Ski

Posted

Pros: Quick, stable, great edge hold, fun, great learning ski

Cons: none

I got these 156cm new condition ex demo skis delivered to Whistler Blackcomb and had 3 consecutive full day lessons on them, plus 2 full days free skiing. I am age 56, weigh in at around 135 lbs and 5' 6" height and felt the length to be ideal. They are confidence inspiring in a learning situation, enabling focus on the skill without worrying about what the ski was going to do. When free skiing they can go to high speed and feel totally stable, give nice pop off the tail in short turns on steeper slopes, give predictable and consistent feedback on hardpack, and are good fun in the spring slush. Nice and quick edge to edge and at my weight they go well in shallow crud etc. In the bumps they seemed forgiving enough and made recovery easy when things got a bit out of shape, and I actually started to enjoy bumps for the first time in many years. I will definitely be keeping these.
