Pros: Powder, cut up seconds, trees and smooths out all terrain
Cons: Icy crud, hard pack, heavy.
Went from Mantras (I have been on these for 4 seasons) to the ELP Rockered Gotama. Spent a week at Snowbird for their first days on snow. This was my first rockered ski.
No big powder dumps when I was there, but just enough fresh to give me a taste of the skis surfing ability.
Very manuvarable and confidence inspiring in tight spots and steeps. Also you can really lay them out on the groomers. Also no tip dive what so ever (unlike my Mantras).
I am 49 year old male level 8/9. 155 lbs/5'6". I have since had them in 20+ inches at Bridger, skied some pretty steep lines there and at Moonlight as well.
Have not gone back to my Mantras yet. I think this is a great all mountain soft snow ski. The 177 works for me!!
