I took these bad boys to whistler and had several feet of powder over the week I was there. They float quite nicely and still allow me to hook up nicely on the groomers.
2011 Salomon Lord Ski Reviews
Pros: wide and good in variety of terrain, sturdy
Cons: not the best carving ski
Got to demo at Tremblant the other day. I found it harder to aggresively and cleanly carve with the lots of ice that existed at Tremblant that I didn't find as hard with other Salomon skis I demoed. I imagine it would be good in powder though, with the wide undercut. Looks pretty cool too. Definitely not my kind of ski and will not be recommending it at all. If you want a twin tip, I suggest you go for a lighter ski too as it was sort of heavy.
Pros: Perform great in many conditions, gnarly look, overall awesome.
Cons: There really isn't any to mention yet.
I have owned Salomons forever, the Lords were my first purchase when I arrived in Colorado. I love them and I can't really say any negative things about them. For the kind of skiing I do which is a lot of random terrain and conditions, they are my favorite by far compared to any other Salomons.
