Pros: Bombproof feel on icy steeps at speed, super smooth - no chatter whatsoever, pull off a variety of turn shapes with ease
Cons: 8.7 has a slightly vague feel underfoot on ice - not bad for width
Used the 7.2 a lot last year, mostly for race nights. The 167cm was perfect for the "super-slalom" course at the local mountain. Very smooth ski with no limits that I could find. I skied the 8.7 last night in the course and was still impressed given the width and icy conditions. A little tough in the troughs, but it held. You can flex out a slalom turn with out too much difficulty, just trust the rails you're attached to. Second run, I switched to the 2012 Volkl RTM 77 in the 171cm length. That ski rocks on hard pack. Maybe the best compromise between the Blizzards, wicked edge bite with great stability.
