Pros: Can handle most everything for the expert skier
Cons: Too stiff for serious powder
I grew up racing everything from slalom to downhill and a bunch of mogul competitions thrown in the middle. I had different skis for every race. The AC 50s really can handle almost anything and I have been totally shocked by their versatility. I'm 6'5" and 205 lbs and almost always push deep into my turns. The Kendo totally crumbled under my weight at high speeds despite all of the amazing reviews. The AC 50s can handle GS turns on the groomers even when I'm absolutely flying. I still have pure GS skis but they don't have nearly the versatility of the AC 50s. The first day I demoed them, I ventured over to some mogul runs with little if any expectations. I couldn't believe when I was riding a straight line and bouncing off the moguls like it was a competition. If you are looking for versatility and are an expert skier, please demo these bad boys. You absolutely will not regret it.
