Hart Javelin WC GS
Pros: Smooth, soft, easy to ski, great intro to race stock GS skis
Cons: Not a powerful GS ski, don't turn as quickly as other 27m GS skis out there
This is a surprisingly good GS ski (185cm). Much like the Javelin SL, they are easy to ski and comfortable in and out of the course. The tip is wide and soft for a ski in this category, but it makes the ski draw you into the turn very easily. Once in the turn they don't give up anything in terms of edgehold. Compared to stiffer GS skis out there (Specifically Nordica and Fischer - what I ski on regularly), these feel a bit more sluggish from turn to turn. The advantage they have over stiffer, more demanding skis, is that they are really easy to ski on despite their 27m turn radius. Navigating a legally-set GS course on these skis is pretty reasonable to do. It doesn't require WC-level skill and athleticism. I think this would be a great first-step into a race stock 27m GS ski for a skier who has no experience with the category and isn't prepared to pilot some of the stiffer skis out there. Also - lighter skiers should look here for sure.
