Pros: Grip and edge hold

Cons: stiff in the soft snow.

I purchased these skis to replace a set of Volkl 5 stars that were showing there age.  I am 6ft and 190lbs and bought the 175s.   I have now skied them east coast, Colorada and Tahoe in conditions ranging from east coast hardpack to 18 inches of light powder and mixed icy crud.       The ski might have a top end on the groomers but I havnt found it.  It will hold an edge in a hard race turn like it is glued to the mountain no matter the snow conditions.  Get forward, lay it on edge and lean and weight as far as you dare.  Its an awesome experience.    The ski will work off piste in powder and the bumps...

Pros: GRIP GRIP GRIP

Cons: not that great in deep crud

Was looking for an all mountain ski that would let you carve on hardpack and this is it.  I ski SoCal a lot and when its hard and icy, this ski is my Ginsu Knife.  Tons of grip, slices up the ice and inspires confidence.  Works great on the whole hill but i've taken it through boot deep powder and its a real bear as you don't have a ton of surface area under foot.  however.... on the groomers, you can give the alpine carving snowboard guys a run for their money laying down trenches.  Two ski quiver, this one for the hardpack and dynastar mythic riders for mammoth, crud and deep.    eyeing a 100cm wide ski to round out the trifecta.  would buy...

Pros: Ski rips on almost any frontside snow conditions

Cons: A little pricy

Purchased this ski replacing a Volkl S5 and it was worth every penny. Turn on the powerswitch and rip the hardpack. Turn it off for softer snow and bumps, you can really tell the difference. Only backfall is the width, for deeper snow, which is why I now have the Volkl Bridge.

Pros: Fast

Cons: Price

My favorite on-piste ski. A very fast ski, superb grip, very exciting to drive. I must admit I haven't used the Power-Switch much as I have it "on" almost all the time. Great for the eastern mountains, I love this ski.
