Pros: easy to turn, forgiving, great for learning
Cons: digs in too much on powder
These were (is) my first skis and they were spot on. I found them very easy to turn and in general they offered a very forgiving and fun ride. They were also fairly stable at speeds a beginner/intermediate would achieve - I 've taken them to blues/blacks without a problem.
The only drawback I found is difficulty to maneuver and stay on top of powder. Once the snow gets deep, I found the skis would dig deep into the powder and the end result is a wrestling match rather than a floaty ride down the mountain.
Definitely recommended if you are looking for an awesome value, and it will definitely challenge you - you 'll have to ski quite a bit to get on top of them skill-wise, at which point you 'd be ready to make a more informed decision on the kind of ski you want (plus the extra $$$ to spend on them).
Info on me: 6'' tall, 120lbs, complete beginner when I got them
