Atomic Snoop Review
Pros: Great all mtn, powder, broken pow, moguls, carving
Cons: stiff hardpack or ice this is not your weapon
Picked up some 184cm snoop demo's with binders for $275...I am 55, 195lbs, ' 6'3", former racer at Maine and Wyoming and currently an all mountain skier in the West, never thought i would buy twin tips but now i have these and some 190cm Liberty double helix's among others in the quiver... this is a great ski !... probably better overall then my Mythic Rider's that i like alot... this ski is a great carver if you lay it over, go with a 3 degree sidewall bevel and they will do better on harder snow... i love these skis in bumps! I have had terrific all bump days at Mary Jane and Copper on the snoops and for their size are very nimble ...they don't seem to hang up at all in the troughs... the most fun though is off piste powder and tree skiing... two straight days at Jackson Hole , all off piste in chutes (tower3, expert, alta, etc), and tight tree lines on the lower aspects of the mountain...go where the snowboarders go ya know..bobsled lines and ducking your head to miss overhanging branches...very easy turn initiation in all conditions with good tecqnique...its all good on the Snoops!
