2005 Stockli Stormrider XL

Pros: Super Stable - Will Cruise Through Almost Anything

Cons: Needs Power to Maximize Performance

I use ths ski for powder and free riding.  It is a GS ski fattened up with the objective of going fast through powder. It needs space and power to intitate turns so is not designed for bumps, tight tree skiing or really crowded conditions. It can also take on heavy or even wet snow conditions without breaking a real sweat. As I said, it can take some powering down to initiate a turn but it comes through smooth, very fast and clean. Super smooth ride with all of the legendary Stockli stability. You just need to stay centered and go.

I love this ski for the days when I just want to "get down". It is very fast and it will blast through almost anything the mountain throws on you as long as you have the room to react. At the 194cm length you need to be strong and I would recommend upward of 180lbs. to maximize performance.  Shorter lengths require less weight, but you still need power.  Definately for Advanced to Expert Skiers.
