Hey PA bears is anyone skiing 7 springs this weekend??? Look for me, I have a pair of  Line 07 light aqua blue celebrity twin tips w/bright electric pink bases, and will be wearing black pants, army green colored jacket with black and white stripe down the sides and a gray helmet. I may have two guys reluctantly following behind or maybe in front since I have no real powder skills LOL!  Please say hello, maybe we can do a few turns together.

I'm very impressed that you made it up there in the storm.
I might try to get there on Sunday IFFF I can get out of my neighborhood in NOVA.  I have a green jacket too (see funny little man-avatar) and will look for you if I get there.  If you have weekend web access let us know how much snow Seven Springs got and what crowds and skiing are like.

I would love to be there right now, but I can't even get out of my driveway at the moment!  About 20" so far in Pittsburgh and the road conditions are still terrible.  Road conditions probably won't improve until late today or tomorrow.

I may try and get up there for tomorrow.  I'll be in a brown Arc'teryx Jacket with a grey helmet sporting an EpicSki sticker if I do make it up there.

Jim- Springs has received 24"+ already and it is supposed to continue snowing here till mid afternoon today.  I wouldn't be surprised if they end up somewhere near 3 feet by the time the storm is over.

I'm still digging out but I hope to get there sometime in the next 24 hours. The 7S report lists all trails groomed .  Can you believe that???? Hey HC, post a TR and let us know if that is true.

I was going to come over today with my two boys.  Check the road conditions at 6:00AM, there was no way I was going to be able to make it.  We will probably head over next Saturday.

2O in. in my driveway this moring along with most of a plum tree that came down stradling the driveway. Boy is this snow wet. I see where they groomed Seven Springs but if the snow was as gloppy and wet as what fell at my house, maybe they had too. No too much terrain there that is steep enough for that much wet snow.

Hope to be there tomorrow. Another snow storm (much less) heading this way Tues.

Can you imagine trying to ski on the flat pitch that is 7-Springs in over 2-feet of fresh?  A couple runs perhaps, but most would be unskiable.  My daughter was going to be there today (lives in Oakmont), but her car was buried, and with the declared emergency, most yinzers are staying in and waiting for the super bowl.  As a consequence, Sunday should be epic and uncrowded.

Well, I'm not there now but I've been there right after a dump and there's more than a few slopes that have enough pitch. My guess is that all non-snowmaking terrain has not been groomed so there will be large swaths of the North Face area left ungroomed. I'll let you know, I finally dug out and I had to go for a ride to see what was passable. I'll be at the Springs tomorrow. I'll be wearing an army green, brown sleeved Oakley jacket, black helmet and I'll be on last year's brown Watea 94s. So anybody else going, keep an eye out and I'll do the same.

I'll head to Blue Knob on Monday, back at 7S on Tuesday and maybe T-line later. I swear I'm going to poach Laurel this week too. (laid off again)

Is there a football game tomorrow, who's playing???

I won't make it tomorrow, but haven't ruled out Monday if all USG offices are closed in DC.

I'll be there tomorrow LHC.  Trying to arrive right around 9am.  I'll be in all brown, grey helmet, and skiing on an older pair of Dynastar Big Troubles, the black ones with the flame graphics.  Probably heading directly for the North Face side of the hill and skiing Gunnar Liftline first thing in the am since I know that won't be groomed out.

Hung out with another ski diva and her hubby, we stopped for a few photos on our way over to check out goose bumps.

The snow brought all kinds of people and animals out.

I don't know what that guy was thinking.

Saturday we spent most of the day over by Gunner and Sunday I did a few fast runs down Northface but then headed back over to Gunner. No face shots I'm not much of a photographer.  It was a great weekend, sorry you missed it.  I bought a new helmet, bright pink, left the gray one in the truck.
