1 Should the center of your kneecap be centered over your big toe or back further, when checking alignment with a plum bob?

2 should your shoulders, and hips be stacked over the center of your arch or the ball of your foot?

3 should you cant in the boot or grind the boot sole when the cuffs do not adjust enough to get a neutral flat ski?

4 should you allow the ankle to collapse with flat pronated feet or use the boot to support it upright?

5 will duck stance boots, like a fischer somatech help pronated skiers?

6 when should heel lifts be used?

Since it would appear no one else is throwing themselves on this grenade:

1. No.

2. No.

3. Definitely no. Cuff alignment and canting are separate issues.

4. No. While it is important the foot and ankle remain active, excessive pronation and supination should be decreased.

5. No. Not necessarily.

6. Increases in ramp angle can benefit people with limited dorsiflexion or a lack of adequate pressure on the rear half of the boot.

7. (Even though you didn't ask this) No. these measurements are very difficult to do on oneself. There is considerable benefit to having someone else (who is highly trained and experienced) evaluate your stance. If applied correctly proper boot integration can be a magic bullet. Done poorly it can still be a bullet, but maybe more tragic than magic.
