Bindings for Volkl Chopsticks (DIN Setting question)

I just bought a pair of the volkl chopsticks and i need to find an inexpensive binding for them. I have narrowed in down to some of the heavier Marker bindings or the Salomon STH with a max of 12 DIN. My other skis have a DIN of 8, do my Chopstick bindings need to be stronger because they're a fatter ski? AKA will a 12 DIN binding work?

DIN setting is not ski dependent.

DIN Settings are a difficult discussion topic.

DIN Settings are Skier dependent based on Height, Weight, and skier ability. The problem with DIN settings is that they are influenced by unrealistic thoughts about how good of a skier a person may think that they are and in some cases may be ego driven and so on.

DIN is something to take seriously it may save your ACLs and MCLS and in serious ski racing may save your life. Pre-Release is bad when charging hard. But release during those slow stupid skiing moments is also important. Take it to a shop and have them set, and test your din settings. They will do release pressure tests. Given your Stats Id venture to guess that your saying a type 3 skier on their skiing forum. Be realistic. If your having release issues then have a shop turn up the din a bit.

I take the cautious route, Having my bindings proper mounted and tested by a reputable shop. I have never had the issues of pre-release issues except in very rare occasions.
