Am I back in official ski nut status?

So I drove 2 1/2 hours one way on Saturday to ski at Lookout Pass Ski Area.  They have one chair with about 8 runs open.   About 800-900 vertical.  The snow was pretty good considering.  Things are not looking good here for an early opening.  The lower half of Big Mountain is still dirt and the forecast does not look great for anything soon.  I did get to try out the new boots and love them.

Its been many years since I have been this excited about an upcoming ski season but I am starting to get a little nuts waiting.  Now that I have had a taste, I think it is just going to get worse.

I heard Turner also opened just to shorten your drive.

Nothing on the Turner web site about being open but that may not mean anything.  Fernie is supposed to open on Dec 5th and they are looking better than here but they will need more snow to make it according to Brian at Topshelf Sports.  The web cams look pretty good there.   Another symptom of ski fever I guess.  Looking at web cams at ski areas.

Oh........I got some competition. Yesterday a buddy and I drove also 2 and 1/2 hours one way as well, to ski for two hours.........about 350 feet vertical. It was about 280 miles round trip.  They only had one run open. I understand your addiction.
