Nimbus productions, Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas & Andy Mahre concept.  Stars Sean pettit, Benchetler,Abma, Hugo, Horlvelson (sp- sorry, one of my favorite skiiers) and many more. this is much along the lines of Hunting Yeti,  Shot more like a documentary, fantastic powder skiing, not too much park action but yes, a fair amount of BC jumpy, flippy scenes (most are very cool). Much more insight into the skiers, a lot of interveiws from the road. very cool soundtrack, Jimmy hendrix, lots of other classic rock, and of course "Tired Eyes". Kind of a trippy, dreamy music.   The extras are as good as the main production, The "enroute" seggies for Japan and Austria (includes Poland too) are really great. A video journal of the trip, with great skiing but a lot of what goes on duing filming including all the traveling, hotels, partying, local skiers, foods and a great scene of (I think it is Benchetler) puking......  All in all, some great powder lines, pillow drops down some sick lines, Pettit is an amazing skier.  I give it two poles up...

All of it can be downloaded in Iphone, Ipod and Desktop formats.

I though there was some cool skiing. But way too much yakking by folks sitting in white chairs in front of a white background. I love the way those guys ski - but next year they should ski more & talk less. I'd pay extra for a cut with just the skiing and none (or way less) of the philosophizing.

I can't disagree but I thought the interviews were pretty interesting. You have to love the scenes with them playing the with bidet?  :)

Contrast is my favorite film so far this year, I like the interviews. I also like the idea of following the same 4 skiers all season. Lot's of the footage is obviously 'down days' from filming with real film companies, grey skies and poor lighting... but the snow, ahhhh the snow. The whole film makes me say: "I want to go ski there." I love the mini-golf footage way more than the big AK style 'tiny-black-dot-on-a-white-curtain' style, I just don't find that inspiring any more. The nimbus footage, to me, is inspiring.

On a different note, I saw 'The Edge of Never' on Wednesday. Pretty darn good... if a bit exploitative. It was much better than I expected, right there with 'Steep' as a 'skiumentary'.
