New deal site is 'by invitation only' but if you visit and request an invitation code they'll hook you up then send you five more codes to share.

I got this same invitation.  How is this different than the BC Outlet?  I am trying to figure this out.  The prices don't look a whole lot different to me.  Is it just a gimmick to make the site seem more elite and secret?  I don't understand.

Yeah, same here.  I don't get it either?  How is this different than the regular site?

Yeah, the 'invitation only' thing seems pretty gimmicky to me too.  Haven't compared the prices to the outlet.  Guess I assumed they would be a bit better.

Backcountry.com is phasing out the outlet store (the outlet will officially end at the end of this year) and replacing it with the new face of 'department of goods.' D.O.G. reps more actions sports gear like surf, skate, board and bike than the outlet did. The site also incorporates the new fast search feature that backcountry.com added to its site.

Also every 1 and 10 orders will be comped as well as $200,000 in prize giveaways.
