Seemed like the thing to do at the time. Still remember that day in January 1969 like it was just yesterday. 40 years ago. wow!

I'm lucky to have been able to grow old while so many have not.

 Day's like this, set aside to honor veterans, leaves me feeling a bit in awe of the amazing heart and soul of those who serve.

It seems fitting to thank too, those vets who helped establish skiing in the US.  I recall many a story on returning vets of WW II who loved the sport enough to aid an industry.

but sincerely, Thanks all who've served.  I haven't but can't appreciate more the liberties and freedoms i enjoy (and often take for granted) due to the sacrifices and contributions many have made.
