 Lookout will be open this friday for the start of the ski season here in N. ID.

Wait a second.  That resort is in Montana, too, so its an early start for the Western Montana ski season.

 True but I don't drive through MT except the overpass getting off I-90, should be a great day with snow in the forecast for Friday.
Two runs on MT side will be open rest will be in the gem state.

How many US resorts are in two states?  Thought Heavenly was the only one.

We have two resorts here that straddle Montana & Idaho, Lookout Pass & Lost Trail.

Then in Canada I think Sunshine is in Alberta and BC?  I seem to remember that riding the chair....

It is. All of the facilities are on the Alberta side though.

Teledancer,  see you there.  Van and Jon are going early to see if they can keep their 4 or 5 yr First chair of the season record intact.  I will be there at 0830.  Be in the bar after the lift line gets too long.  Van and Jon hiked Marmot/grandma on Wed and said the snow is good on top but sanity will keep us on the groomers.  But you never let a few stumps, logs, limbs, rock and boulders stop you.

If it is a nice day I will take some pictures and post here tommorrow night.

 Another nice day but it was better on Thur before they groomed the 4" into submission. Great to be skiing so soon and thanks for the beer.
