Ya, so what. I'm sitting at my computer desk and I'm thinking about skiing. And I have my shiny new Sugarloaf pass hanging around my neck. And, ok, so I have my new Doberman Pro 130's on. I mean, what's wrong with that. It's not like I have my official 25th anniversary Capt. Kirk  Star Trek shirt on, or anything. C'mon. Fess up. Who else has their ski dogs on right now. I am not alone....

I just got a call from a buddy that needs skis for his daughter and I went to the "inventory" to find a binding for her. It was like I was picking out a bottle of wine to go with a particular meal....Hmmm, teenager going into a freestyle program, what binding would go best on a Volkl Wall Mogul, the Look TT07 or the TT08 Carbon? Or maybe a Salomon 897E

I do not have mine on, but your post did remind me to go out to my truck and bring my boots in so I can make sure they are dry for tomorrow.

I have been where you are. So no, you are not alone.

I've been putting my boots on for weeks and doing dryland training on a carpeted platform in front of a mirror.

Edging, tipping, jump turns, balancing.

So get off that sofa and DO something with those boots.

I own Head RD 96s and  Nordica Doberman Aggressor 150s. I wear them alot at home. I even took them to the gym last Friday to incorporate them into my 5X week ski workout--jump rope, stationary cycle, plyometric box jumpings, one legged balance squats on a squishy pad (the gym doesn't have a BOSU ball), etc. It will probably be one of the last times I'll be able to get the Aggressors off without a hair dryer. I'm writing from Hanover, NH today and picked up my Sugarbush pass yesterday. I will miss Sunday River. I'm just waiting patiently here in the Northeast. Guess I'll go put on a pair and do some wall leg squats.

I had them on yesterday, but that was because I got to ski for the first time this season at Bretton Woods...

...then again I do wear them around the house too.

That foot stool does not look "race stock". FWIW, don't tuck the jeans in the boot.

I need a rotating carpet deck in my living room about this time of year.  The boots just aren't enough anymore.

I can make that happen, all fo r the low low price of $40,000. Let me know when you would like it shipped. ( I am serious, our shops owner also owns Mogulslope, which makes indoor ski decks.)

So SkiMangoJazz wanted to see me mowing the lawn in me new Dobies. Here ya' go bud. This is how we do it in Maine just in case it happens to snow while we are doing a little fall clean up.

Shake hands with this Kubota bad boy and the Land Pride Brush Hog. We're talking 22 horse Kubota 3 cycle diesel power, and with the differential locked, this pup will climb trees. You want fear - just wait till you hear the PTO engage that Land Pride rotor blade. It will "shred" whatever you got and then some.

So off I go with the Bliz Titans, the Dobies, the Aussie (Pearl) in search of bow wow, or pow wow. And if I don't find none I might just cut me a few new ski trails.
Happy trails.

I don't think I've quite taken it to that extreme...yet

We all have heart, that's for sure.

As I write, the Sugarbush Snow Vintners are crafting this year's artisan private reserve snow crystals. The appellation is never too cloying for my palate.

"It's a prententious little crystalline flake, but I think you'll be amazed by its finish." "Yes, its woody undernotes are really redolent of a late spring."

It's time for sleep. I guess I'll pull on my Dobies and bid you all a good night.

A baseball cap is an adequate substitute for a helmet in my rule book.

Well, that would be just silly, don't you think? Anyways, there were no snowboarders around, so no worries.

Agreed. And that is no ordinary baseball cap - sports the emblem of my favorite team - Team Arcteryx.
(If you pay full boat for the tractor, brush hog, 72" mower deck and hydraulic bucket loader - they throw in the hat).

Haven't put my boots on indoors... yet.  (This year.)  I did bring the skis up from the basement the other day, though.  Now I'm thinking that maybe I should try them on and make sure the fit's still okay... you know, just in case...

And I'm thinking about going to Bretton Woods next Saturday, even though they'll probably only have a couple trails open and it's 3 hours each way.

Yeah, we're all sickos here.
