The coldest I can ever remember being was at Snowshoe, WV. It was probably only -10  or -15 with the wind chill (nothing compared to some of the temps. I've seen mentioned here) but I was about 10 yrs old at the time. It was so windy that I couldn't get out of the chair at the top of the lift, the wind plastered me to the back of it.
My parents still laugh about that day.

Coldest day was skiing at Snowmass Feb 1, 1985 when Colorado had historic low temps.  It was -44F that morning on the thermometer at the bottom of one of the lifts.  It was -61 in northern CO and hit -35 in Aspen I heard.  There was a foot or so of powder from the day before and almost no one on the mountain.  Not too windy but the cold took your breath away.  I would get on the big burn lift and not see another skier.  I skied in sight of the lift on easy terrain just in case I fell.  No second chance at that temperature.

Skied numerous times in the UP when it was -30F or colder and that felt much colder.  Damper, more cloudy and usually windier than my Snowmass day.

Negative double digits at Sugarloaf without the wind chill. Only lower mountain open. The highest you get get was on the t-bar. I bet it was the same day as the guys at the Bush are talking about above in 06 or 07. Felt like I was getting beaten in the head with a hammer riding up the t-bar. I probably shouldn't admit this on this forum but I turned in my pass for a voucher which you could do until 11:00. Right when the bar started serving.

Christmas, late 70's or early 80's at Crested Butte.  It was -60F in Gunnison, about -40 on the mountain.  I went with my uncle and his kids.  No one wanted to ski it was so cold but my uncle insisted that by God he had paid for the lift tickets and we were going to ski.  Of course that was long before helmets came along and I rarely ever skied with even a hat or goggles, just Varneut sunglasses.  I remember that my face would be as hard a a rock and I would have to go in after every run just to thaw it out.

All's for the best in this best of all possible worlds
