Hey Pete!
I think that Squatty was talking about being light on your edges by lifting up on your outside edge with your foot instead of pushing down on your inside edge. The edging movement that this produces is much more subtle and "delicate". He touched on this during one of our inumerable runs down Elk Park. You referred to it in this thread -
www.epicski.com/forum/thread/83419/esa-big-sky-skiing-what-i-learned. The exercises that Robin had us do standing on ski poles on the ground simulates the edging movements. It's amazing how thinking about a movement differently makes such a difference! Hope that this helps.

Hi Everyone ! I was just reviewing my notes and looking at pictures of last years ESA and was wondering if any of you remember the following. During a run (don't remember where/maybe the terrain above the avalanche fences?) Squatty was talking about staying light. I can't remember how he referenced this or why but I remember it worked for me. Anyone remember what he was talking about? My grey matter wants to say it had something to do with Robins' -stand on the poles drill but I can't remember for sure. Care to help refresh my memory? Please!
Hope you all had a good summer. Weather expert up here says winter is coming with snow starting about the 16th of Nov. hope he's right.
My Best, Pete
